to Sri Chinmoy (1931-2007)
This site takes its name from one of Sri Chinmoy's sayings: "Each step forward has a sacred meaning of its own". These pages are my personal blog on running, biking, triathlon and trekking - and on the philosophy of Self-Transcendence, which I was fortunate to learn from Sri Chinmoy, my spiritual teacher since 1993. 2009 saw me reach a couple of personal goals - in June I clocked up my 40th race at the age of 40 - a target I'd set myself on my birthday in 2008. Then came my first Ironman distance event in July. It was also the year that I acquired a new name! Now I'm waiting to see what 2010 brings - I'm a compulsive goal setter so doubtless there'll be a target race lined up soon. Have a happy new decade! |
