A Spiritual Name
For anyone wondering why I have a sanskrit name, despite being born in no more exotic a clime than Fetcham in Surrey...
It has long been the custom in the Sri Chinmoy Centre to take a spiritual name after having practised meditation seriously for some time - in my case this period of time turned out to be almost 16 years, which is quite a while :) I was given the name Garga, which is the name of a sage who practised austerities in India thousands of years ago and had "many powerful inner divine revelations". A lot to live up to...
